Background information - availability of spares - please read
Please note that whilst we keep a very wide and deep variety of the range of spares shown on the TamiyaClub.com and the TamiyaParts.co.uk sites, stock varies from time to time depending on demand on particular vehicles.  Some parts are not viable to hold in continuous stock (they may be particularly delicate and not suited to storing in our shop or may be only requested once every few months) and therefore to cover all eventualities we back up our own stock with deliveries at least twice a week from the main UK Tamiya distributor.  Therefore, please bear in mind that this service is designed to provide comprehensive parts supply within a short timescale and is not a guaranteed "Next Day" service as a result.  The range and depth of the Tamiya spares range is now so large that no one could actually stock enough of every item to deal with every order on the day it is received - this is why we have set up special arrangements for these express deliveries meaning that not only can we draw on our own extensive stocks but also half a warehouse full of parts too!

As company policy, if an order is received which we cannot fulfil entirely immediately, any out of stock items will be placed on order for the very next delivery (essentially we order every Monday for Tuesday delivery and Thursday for Friday delivery) and the entire order will then be sent in one package once we receive a delivery.  Items out of stock here which we have not been able to obtain from the Tamiya distributor will usually be noted on your receipt and dispatched separately once more become available.  We only charge for what we send, when we send it.

If your order is only for items which are not available in store and prove unavailable from our suppliers we will telephone (UK) or email (overseas) you to advise within a short timescale (usually immediately after our Tuesday/Friday deliveries).  Items will be left on back order for when they arrive unless you request otherwise.  Please note that often items are available to the trade (i.e. us) which the customer service departments of various makers will tell you direct are "not available" or "out of stock".  This is due to the way that stock is often allocated in the model trade to retail/direct sales and trade sales within the same warehouse - this seems to affect all our suppliers for all brands, Tamiya being no different.
