It has been a long time in coming, but Tamiya has heard the demand from fans around the world and is now proud to present award-winning truck maker Scanias state-of-the-art R470 Highline as the newest addition to our unique 1/14 scale R/C tractor truck series. About the Scania R470 Highline Swedish manufacturer Scania has a long history of producing exceptional trucks designed for long-haul transport. The companys R-series made its debut in 2004 and quickly built a highly favorable reputation that led to it being given the prestigious International Truck of the Year award in 2005. About the Model 1/14 scale electric R/C assembly kit of the Scania R470 Highline. Aerodynamic body is precisely reproduced and front grill features mesh material for realistic look. Faithfully reproduced cabin tilts forward separately from fenders, just like on the full-size truck. Fender interiors and exteriors are fully depicted for the ultimate in accuracy and realism. Durable ladder frame chassis consists of aluminium channel and resin cross member. Kit-included coupler enables use of any of Tamiyas currently available 1/14 scale trailers. Includes assembly type 3-speed transmission. Use of separately available 4-channel transmitter allows gear shifting during running. Front and rear suspension consists of metal leaf springs and coil spring dampers. Durable die-cast metal front axle is float mounted on leaf spring and damper. Resin rear axle features differential gear. Propeller shaft transmits power from front mounted motor to rear wheels. Pin type propeller shaft joint reduces friction loss. Type 540 motor included. Beautifully reproduced cabin tilts forward separately from the fenders, just like the actual truck. The accurately modeled fenders themselves are removable for realistically depicting a low carrying load. Realistic chassis and suspension further add to the imposing form of this unique model. About the Model LEDs accurately recreate the trucks front and rear lights. Tamiya presents incredible sound and action options for the Tractor Truck Knight Hauler or any 1/14 scale R/C Tractor Truck with the all-new R/C Tractor Truck Multi-Function Control Unit. The control unit is mounted inside the left tool box for easy access.   20 LED for 9 light functions All lamps employed with the multi function unit are high brightness type LED. They are employed to reproduce headlights, position lamps, roof lamps, speed indicators, fog lamps, back lamp, tail lamps and blinkers/hazard lamps, which can be turned on/off with the transmitter.   The multi function unit offers 24 radio-controlled sounds that have been digitally recorded from an actual tractor truck. The R/C Tractor Truck Multi-Function Control Unit is capable of the following functions: Engine: Engine starter Idling, Revving,Running with semi-trailer, Running without semi-trailer, Engine stop, Air: Air dryer, Up-shifting, Down-shifting, Air discharging 1, Air discharging 2, Short horn, Continuous horn, Parking brake, Electric sounds: Alarm 1, Alarm 2, Turn signal 1, Turn signal 2, Hazard, Back alarm, Exhaust brake, Brakes: Brakes, Coupler: Coupler attachment, Coupler detachment.
