About the Scania R470 Highline Swedish manufacturer Scania has a long history of producing exceptional trucks designed for long-haul transport. The companys R-series made its debut in 2004 and quickly built a highly favorable reputation that led to it being given the prestigious International Truck of the Year award in 2005. About the Model 1/14 scale electric R/C assembly kit of the Scania R470 Highline. Aerodynamic body is precisely reproduced and front grill features mesh material for realistic look. Faithfully reproduced cabin tilts forward separately from fenders, just like on the full-size truck. Fender interiors and exteriors are fully depicted for the ultimate in accuracy and realism. Durable ladder frame chassis consists of aluminium channel and resin cross member. Kit-included coupler enables use of any of Tamiyas currently available 1/14 scale trailers. Includes assembly type 3-speed transmission. Use of separately available 4-channel transmitter allows gear shifting during running. Front and rear suspension consists of metal leaf springs and coil spring dampers. Durable die-cast metal front axle is float mounted on leaf spring and damper. Resin rear axle features differential gear. Propeller shaft transmits power from front mounted motor to rear wheels. Pin type propeller shaft joint reduces friction loss. Type 540 motor included. Tamiya is proud to add this wonderful piece of machinery the R620 6x4 to the 1/14 scale R/C Tractor Truck lineup. This massive tractor truck features 3-axle and is approximately 458mm long. Beautifully reproduced cabin tilts forward separately from the fenders, just like the actual truck. The accurately modeled fenders themselves are removable for realistically depicting a low carrying load. Realistic chassis and suspension further add to the imposing form of this unique model. About the Model LEDs accurately recreate the trucks front and rear lights. Attach the Multi Function Control Unit 56511 (MFC-01, not included) to provide sound effects such as attaching/detaching any of the currently available trailers, as well as other easily distinguishable truck sounds. 3-Speed Transmission allows gear shifting to be controlled during driving for added realism. This impressive truck, which made its debut at the 2007 European Transport Road Show in Amsterdam, was the winner of the 2008 Truck of the Year award. It features two rear axles which assist in the carrying of heavy loads over long distances. It is powered by an in-line 6 cylinder 12.4 liter turbocharged diesel engine which meets the stringent Euro 5 emissions standards to make it more environmentally friendly. Specs & Features This is a 1/14 R/C assembly model kit of the MAN TGX 26.540 6x4 XLX tractor truck. Length: 526mm, Width: 193, Height: 301mm Wheelbase: 237+103mm. The model features a metal ladder frame with the motor and transmission positioned in the front and two rear axles just like the actual vehicle. Providing the model with greater scale realism are the accurately reproduced exhaust cover, side mirrors, and step plates. The model also features a detailed cabin interior. The framework and chassis is usual high quality Carson CNC-milled aluminium, and the three axles are attatched with leaf spring suspension. A spare wheel is stowed beneath the trailer, as is a compartment for storing empty pallets! Likewise the rear loading doors can be opened, and the tarpaulin removed from the frame. Tamiya presents incredible sound and action options for the Tractor Truck Knight Hauler or any 1/14 scale R/C Tractor Truck with the all-new R/C Tractor Truck Multi-Function Control Unit. This system, when mounted on the truck is located inside the cabin with speaker to the front and the MFC-01 unit to the rear. The control unit is mounted inside the left tool box for easy access.   20 LED for 9 light functions All lamps employed with the multi function unit are high brightness type LED. They are employed to reproduce headlights, position lamps, roof lamps, speed indicators, fog lamps, back lamp, tail lamps and blinkers/hazard lamps, which can be turned on/off with the transmitter.   The multi function unit offers 24 radio-controlled sounds that have been digitally recorded from an actual tractor truck.
