BMW 320Si WTCC 2006 TT01 / Lit
Based on the limited edition production BMW 320si, the WTCC version of this 3-series sports sedan continues BMWs tradition of touring car racing. This high-performance machine is powered by a 275 horsepower 2 litre inline 4-cylinder engine and features a distinctive rear wing and oversized fenders for an aggressive look. Team Germany was among several teams that entered this machine in the 2006 WTCC season. The two drivers on the team, Jorg Muller and Dirk Muller (no relation), both had impressive results, with Jorg finishing 2nd in the overall rankings by the slim margin of one point and Dirk taking 6th place.

Subaru Impreza TT01 WRC 2007
Tamiya has had a long history of releasing R/C models of real-life World Rally Championship cars, and this year sees the announcement of the new Subaru Impreza WRC Monte Carlo 07 on our popular TT-01 chassis complete with eye-catching LED lights.

The latest iteration of Subarus Impreza WRC rally car is outwardly not too different than the 2006 model. The main improvements are underneath the hood, with improved suspension geometry, a new turbo/intercooler, better weight distribution, and new differential settings for greater traction. There is also a new front bumper design to go along with the new intercooler. All of these enhancements aim to make the Impreza WRC 2007 a more responsive race car, and drivers Chris Atkinson and Peter Solberg have already attained positive results with 4th and 6th place finished respectively at Round 1 Monte Carlo.

Honda originally was a manufacturer of motorcycles; however in the early 1960s, they began venturing into motorcar racing. The S360 and S500 were the first 4-wheeled vehicles produced by Honda, and in 1965, the top of the line S800 sports car made its debut. Honda offered the vehicle as a coupe or roadster. The vehicle featured a high revving engine that reached 70hp and the 710kg lightweight vehicle could reach speeds of up to 160kmh.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo is a three-door super mini that was released in Milan on June 19th, 2008. The car was designed to compete with the Mini Cooper and upcoming Audi A1 vehicles. The car was named after MiTo after the location where it was designed, Milan, and the location where it was manufactured, Torino. The MiTo was designed on the popular European Fiat chassis. The vehicle features a new "Alfa DNA" system, which allows drivers to change the car setting depending on the driving conditions. The three settings offered with the new "Alfa DNA system" are Dynamc, Normal and All-Weather.

After a full model change, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X was unveiled to the world in 2007. As well as being Mitsubishi's flagship model, the visually impressive Evo. X featured many new outstanding technological aspects which attracted much attention. The newly developed 2 litre 4 cylinder DOHC aluminium block turbo-charged engine provides great weight savings and thumps out 280ps and 43kg/m of torque. Also a first for Japanese cars, the Evo. X features a Twin Clutch SST automated manual transmission which allows a smooth and swift gear change, making driving more enjoyable. The sporty body also features a distinctive front end and a large rear wing

At the 7th Round of the 2008 World Rally Championship "the Acropolis Rally of Greece", the world has seen the Subaru WRC team unleash their new exciting 2008 Impreza. With team driver Petter Solberg at the helm, the Impreza went on to win 2nd place on debut. The Impreza has also gone on to win a 3rd place podium finish at the Round 9 "Neste Oil Rally Finland".

Derek Gardner sought to enhance braking and cornering performance by reducing the size of the drag-inducing front tires while preserving contact patch area through the use of 4 tires, thereby creating the only 6-wheeled machine in F1 history. It took part in actual races beginning with the Spanish GP in 1976, and drivers J. Scheckter and P. Depailler went on to drive their cars to a 1-2 finish at the Swedish GP to prove the incredible potential of the P34. At the final race of the season, the P34 appeared before Japanese fans at the inaugural Japanese GP held at Fuji Speedway. F1 race cars often have race-specific modifications, and the No.3 Tyrrell P34 driven by J. Scheckter at the Japanese GP was distinguished by a triangular net guard fitted on the air funnel and large wingtip panels on the rear wing. The race was a battle for the championship between Ferrari�s N. Lauda and McLaren's J. Hunt and drew a great deal of attention both within Japan and around the world. The weather was fair on Friday and Saturday, but conditions were worsened by rain on Sunday. Although the race finally began at 3PM after a long delay, championship contender N. Lauda quickly retired. The lost excitement was brought back by the performances of the Japanese drivers and P. Depailler's Tyrrell P34. From his 13th place qualifying position, Depailler overtook the field to briefly lead before a tire puncture dropped him back to finish the race in second place behind M. Andretti's Lotus. The F60 started off the season slow, but has gone on to win first place at Round 4 and scored points in every race since. A variant of the DF03 off road chassis, narrowed down to take a road body. This is technically an off-road car since the ground clearance is significantly better than a standard road car - it could run with ease on mown grass for example - but isn't an out and out off roader when compared to some of the other models on this page.

The One & Only AWD Machine This is a ready to assemble electric powered R/C model of the Cusco Dunlop Subaru Impreza, which was the only AWD GT300 entrant during the 2008 Super GT season, and the winner of Round 4 Sepang. The impressive 4-door sedan body is recreated in durable polycarbonate, with small side mirrors, large rear wing, and front canards all separately molded for enhanced detail. This model features the evolved version of the proven belt-driven 4WD TA05 chassis, the TA05 ver.II. Further Evolved Race-Spec Chassis, TA05 ver.II The chassis width has been reduced for greater ground clearance when the chassis rolls. Thanks to the position of the integrated motor mount, the position of the battery pack has been moved forward, resulting in optimum balance and enhanced handling. The drivetrain features front and rear 37T ball differentials and an 18T centre pulley. The four wheel double wishbone suspension system features an inboard front suspension layout with short reversible suspension arms and uprights which have 1050 ball bearings. In addition, the separate suspension mounts help to achieve easier maintenance and setting changes. Maintenance is made easier thanks to the front and rear separate suspension mounts. Newly designed aluminium die-cast motor mount and chassis enable narrower width. The chassis is designed as narrow as possible and is equipped with the TRF416's urethane bumper. Click picture for larger views.	The Corolla Axio apr GT was revealed on January 9, 2009 at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The vehicle is Super GT's new GT300 class vehicle. In the 2008 season, apr competed in the GT300 class with the Toyota MR-S and MR2. The team won the driver's title three times in the past and achieved first place with the MR-S last season. The Corolla's improved aerodynamics has helped the team receive better results. The Super Trofeo is a limited edition version of the Gallardo LP 560-4 sports car. It was designed for the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo one-make racing series, which was held in May 2009. The car features the same chassis as the LP 560-4, but includes modifications such as a direct injection V10 engine which pumps out 570ps. It also has a higher compression ratio of 12.5:1 variable valve timing. The standard, E-gear transmission allows the driver to shift gears much faster than a manual gearbox. The Gallardo features a 4WD suspension for enhanced handling and a dry weight of 2,900lbs.

Needs no more introduction, other than to say that like the real thing, Tamiya's Mini is Front Wheel Drive. (It's suspension is softer too!). This model of the Mini Cooper replicates a rally cross vehicle as used in the early 1990s. It features extended wheel arches and is dechromed (i.e. no bumpers are molded to the body shell, although of course an internal bumper protects the chassis as on all Tamiya cars). Very much a pocket rocket - we have know this Mini and the BMW Mini to out perform some of the 4WD cars in a straight line!
