payments - please read

We are happy to take Paypal for some purchases - if you wish to pay by Paypal, do not use our order form online.

Instead, please send your payment to our paypal account (sales@goldstarstockists.com) listing the items you are ordering and their prices in the "Message to seller" box.

Postage Charge: All Paypal orders are subject to our "Standard" postage rate (£2.50 for orders under £50, £4.50 for orders over £50) within the UK - the "No Rush" option is not available when paying by Paypal.  

Overseas: You must contact us first if you are overseas, as there are restrictions on the destinations where we can take paypal payments from.  Postage for overseas orders will be quoted when you email us.

Important: We are unable to hold back orders if the payment is Paypal, unless you pay in advance for the items. This is because the Paypal payment is not a guaranteed payment method unlike credit card payment. If the items are not available from our source within a few days of your order arriving, we will judge the order/part of the order as unavailable.

Advance Orders for diecast models: We cannot accept advance orders with payment by Paypal unless the order is pre-paid at the time of order.  This is why we recommend that you place a credit card number with us for all pre-orders, since this way you will not be charged until the day the item is released to us.

Tamiya Spare Parts Orders: We receive spare parts restock deliveries twice a week from Tamiya.  On these deliveries we also add customer orders for parts which we list but do not have in stock at the time of order - this way our stocks can include the whole of the importer's warehouse too!   In the event that you pay for an item which was not available, we will hold the payment on file and send the part as soon as it arrives.  If you would prefer a refund in this case, simply email us.  We will not "email you for payment when it arrives", since in our experience very few will pay under these circumstances - you must pay "up front", or order in the conventional way with a credit card.

Other brands of spare parts: Please pay at time of order, we will then obtain and supply the parts.  If you do not wish to pay at time of order, please submit a regular order using a credit card via our Order Form page - we will then charge you at time of dispatch.

IMPORTANT:  We would query why people want to pay by Paypal when we offer a fully secure payment system and you are automatically protected by your credit card company against fraud in any event.  As a result of this and because of the security implications of Paypal, we reserve the right to refuse any paypal payment or order without a reason. 

As an anti-fraud measure, we reserve the right to refund and refuse payments where the account is UNVERIFIED or the address UNCONFIRMED.
