I can't work out how to order - where's the order form?
The order form is opened by clicking ORDER NOW button at the top right of each page, or the bottom middle of each page.  Alternatively, click here and it'll open in a new window.  You can also phone your order through to us on 01438 742665 during the hours of 10 AM to 4PM Monday to Saturday.

How quick do you ship orders?
If in stock, your order will usually be processed and shipped within 24 hours of you placing your order.  Delivery to most of the UK is approx 24 to 48 hours after dispatch, whether by post or courier.  Takes a little longer nearer Christmas - if we have a backlog we'll tell you when we confirm your order.  Items not in stock will usually ship within 7 days unless they are either awaiting release or awaiting remanufacture.  Please tell us on your order if you need an item by a specific date.  If your order is not urgent, we have an option on the order form to indicate this - just select an appropriate "No Rush" option - delivery will be slower but it will cost you less and might even be free if your order is over a certain amount.

How much is postage in the UK?
£2.95 for orders under £50, or £4.95 for orders over £50.  Alternatively if you are in no hurry, select "No Rush" and the postage rate will be lower £1.95 or £2.95 depending on value - No Rush uses a slower (2nd class) delivery service..

EXCEPTION : Diecast pre-orders (i.e. advance orders for models yet to be released) for Corgi / EFE / Oxford / Classix and so on are treated differently. There is a flat £1 charge made for each dispatch (one or more models released at the same time) regardless of checkout option chosen.

Certain large items (e.g. Train Sets, Radio Control Cars etc) are subject to a £7.50 delivery charge if you live in the UK's Highlands and Islands.  This is £7.50 per order, not per item.  If you're not sure whether the item you're ordering will be delivered at normal rates to you, give us a ring and ask - we can look it up in a matter of seconds.

I'm in the USA/Canada/Australia/Europe - do you ship?
We ship to the UK, almost all of Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hong Kong.  Due to Danish privacy law, which prevents us verifying good title to credit cards, we are unable to ship some items to Denmark.  Most other countries we do not ship to, but you can email and we'll confirm.  It often depends on the type of product ordered. Specifically, we do not ship to Indonesia or to addresses which appear to be Indonesian.  We reserve the right to refuse any export order.

With the exception of Southern Ireland, we are generally not able to ship large items (RC cars, slot sets, train sets and the like) outside of the UK as the delivery costs and/or insurance are prohibitive.

Europe EC / EU Countries: 

EC Items Under 2KG:
AIR MAIL: This adds 15% and is quite quick, typically takes under a week to reach you from our dispatch.
Alternatively, you can select "Fully Insured by Air Mail".  We then ensure that the parcel is 100% insured, but this costs more.  We charge you exactly what the post office or courier company charge us.

EC Items Over 2KG:
Please place your order and we will advise the postage rate - if you are not happy, we can cancel at this stage without being charged.

Europe - non EC / EU Countries, and all non-Europe destinations listed above: Select "By Air, Less VAT plus Postage".  We remove the UK sales tax (this is approximately 14.9% of the price you see on screen) and charge you exactly what the post office or courier company charge us.   This means that the postage you pay doesn't subsidize anyone else's order, as it only covers whatever you've ordered - which we feel is fairer.

We can give a guide price for non-EC postage, but please bear with us as it can take up to 72hrs as we have to pick the goods, test pack and test weigh.  We can give a rough guess instantly though.

ALL EXPORTS ARE SUBJECT TO A MINIMUM POSTAGE CHARGE OF £2.50.  Please also see "Information for USA surfers" at the end of this page.

Do you keep all the models on your web site in stock?
We keep a wide variety of models in stock but we cannot possible hold stock of every item on the site.  Many models listed will be awaiting release.  Many others may be of minority interest and therefore although easily available, we do not keep them in stock.  We work closely with a number of suppliers who between them can normally supply anything that we do not have in stock within a short timescale.  Please note that almost all plastic Kit items are non-stock and supplied to special order.

I notice that No Rush P&P is cheap in the UK.  What extra service do I get if I select Standard at £2.95/£4.95 per dispatch?
No Rush P&P is the basic “Second Class” or “Parcelforce Economy” services (or similar - we tend to send most heavier parcels by Parcelforce or Courier unless you are offshore, overseas or in the highlands).  If you select Standard Delivery, we use a faster service - e.g. First Class post or Next-Day-After-Dispatch courier.   All products are insured in transit regardless of the option selected.

What’s "Signed For" then?  
For an extra £1 per dispatch we can ensure that your order cannot be delivered without being signed for.  This stops postmen and delivery drivers simply leaving your order on your doorstop (happens, they're not supposed to do it but they do some times).   PARTICULARLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU LIVE IN A CITY CENTRE OR FLATS.

I don’t see what I want – do you only have what’s listed?
We also stock a wide range of goods instore from Jigsaws to Pre-school toys, plus many other modeling lines.  Virtually anything available within the UK can be obtained or a price provided for – send us an email to find out.

I’ve visited your store recently and the prices weren’t all the same as on your site – why?
We operate a local price match policy instore and all prices on-line include P&P, which may increase the price of some items (particularly 1/18 models, and a few heavier toy lines) by a small amount over our instore price.  90% of our on-line prices are identical to our instore ones. 

I’m concerned about my Credit Card’s security – how will you ensure my card details remain confidential?
We would honestly suggest that if you have any qualms about your card that you never input it into any internet based form.  We won't force you to - just select "Phone me for my payment details" when you order.  If you select to order this way, you will be telephoned and your details will be written down and stored with other papers regarding your order within a locked office to which no public access is permitted.  Once obtained, we will use your credit card details on each occasion that we have goods ready to dispatch to you, unless you instruct us to telephone you before each dispatch.  We are not aware of any interception or fraud which has occurred using our site.

When is payment taken - when I order or later?
We have deliberately set up THIS site so that no payment is debited from your account at time of order, payment is taken only when orders are ready for dispatch and then only on the goods that are actually being sent. On our other, basket site, you need to specify MANUALLY CHARGED via the checkout to ensure you're charged on dispatch rather than at order time.

How long does delivery take?
Items in stock should be with you within around 2-3 days, subject to the Post Office/Parcelforce/Courier standard terms.  If we have to obtain stock for you, and the goods have been released, you should expect them within 28 days (but more commonly 8-14 days).  New releases are sent out within 3 days of being received by us.

Time Tunnel is a privately owned and managed model shop located in Stevenage New Town.  We are centrally located in the town’s pedestrianised shopping precinct, 30 seconds walk from the main Town Square. Information for USA Surfers:
We're asked daily exactly how many US Dollars our products are costing.  We are in Europe - We are not in the USA, and therefore cannot charge you in US Dollars.  We can only charge in British Pounds Sterling, but if you pay by Visa or Mastercard they will automatically convert the pounds we charge you into US Dollars, so you pay your bill in the regular way.  If you need to work out how much a price is (approximately) in US Dollars, try one of the conversion sites (just type CURRENCY CONVERSION into your search engine, you'll find plenty). As a very rough guide, add 75% to the sterling price to get an approximate Dollar price.  Note that the prices include UK Sales Tax (VAT), which is approximately 15% of the total, and you won't pay that but that we will charge you postage at cost.
